How to

1. Open Account information.
2. Edit available fields such as name, username, email, bio, location and personal details.
3. Some changes may require validation or username availability.
4. Save and wait for confirmation before leaving.

Rules and what happens next

• Name and handle have different roles: your name introduces you, and your handle identifies your account in mentions and links. An unavailable handle cannot be used by another account.
• Changing the access email may require verification and reauthentication. Do not confuse hiding a profile field with deleting data required for your account.

Common problems

• Cannot save a handle: check accepted characters and whether it is taken; choose another without creating an additional account.
• Email did not change: check the notice and indicated inbox, including spam. If you lost email access, contact support and never send your password.
