How to add photos, videos, GIFs, links and quotes

How to

1. Tap the image icon to select photos or video; you can crop images before posting.
2. Use GIF to search for an animation.
3. Use Link to paste a URL and choose a preview card or plain link.
4. Use Quote to enter the text and optional attribution.
5. Remove or rearrange attachments before publishing whenever the screen offers that option.

Rules and what happens next

• Images or videos must be yours or authorized for use. A quote should preserve attribution; do not use attachments to expose someone’s data.
• Controls vary by post type. Rating media requires Gold; Link creates an address or preview without attaching a full movie or granting access to a paid service.
• After selecting photos, check crop, order and preview. Uploading must finish before submission; cancelling the composer does not publish attachments.

Common problems

• Photo missing: check Photos permission on iOS or gallery on Android and whether the file is available on the device.
• Link rejected: use a full HTTPS address and open it to check its destination. A page without a preview image may still be valid as a plain link.
