Hide or report an ad
Hiding removes a campaign from your session’s selection. Reporting sends a content concern for review; the two actions have different effects.
Where to find it: Ad > options menu > Hide ad or Report ad
How to
- Open the ad options menu in Flow, comments or Cuts.
- To remove the campaign from the session, choose Hide ad.
- To report a violation, choose Report ad.
- In the report, choose a reason, add a useful description when needed and submit the form. Opening the form does not complete submission.
After hiding
- The campaign is no longer selected from the current session’s ad pool. This is not a permanent advertiser block.
- Hidden state may reset when switching accounts or signing out. Other ads may still appear.
- Giving boo records a reaction; it does not hide the ad or submit a report.
After reporting
- The report includes ad and advertiser identification, context and the chosen reason for the team to assess.
- Reporting does not guarantee immediate campaign removal or a fixed response time. You may also hide the campaign to continue browsing.
- Do not send passwords, payment details or other people’s documents in the description. Describe what is misleading, illegal or inappropriate about the offer.
If the control does not work
- If the card returns after an account change or session restart, the previous hiding state may have ended. The control applies to the campaign in the session.
- If the report fails to send, check connection and retry. For support, note the advertiser and screen where it appeared.
- For child safety, use the specific reason and the Child Safety page channels. Do not copy or redistribute illegal material to report it.
