Take care of your pets

Your pets need food and water. Place bowls in your Loft, fill them and follow each pet in the Pet center. Without care, a pet gets sick and can die.

Where to find it: Your Loft > Build Mode > bowls; inventory > food

How to

  1. Buy bowls in the Loft shop and place them in your Loft: at least 1 water and 1 food bowl for every 3 pets.
  2. Buy food bags in the shop’s pantry. They stay in your inventory.
  3. Tap the bowl and Fill. Water is free; food uses half a bag of the bowl’s tier.
  4. Follow the hunger and thirst bars in each pet’s details and the level bar on each bowl. When a bar reaches 25% or less, a blinking droplet or food icon appears above the pet’s head.
  5. Tap the paw button at the bottom left to open the Pet center: warnings, each pet’s status, the vet and death records.

How pets eat and drink

  • Hunger and thirst bars drop on their own from 100% to 0% in 8 hours.
  • At 50%, the pet looks for a free bowl with content, walks to it, sits on it and refills the bar to 100%. Each meal or drink uses 1 portion.
  • Flying pets land on the bowl. All pets use the same bowls and food.
  • If the bowl is empty, the pet has nowhere to eat and the bar drops to 0%. Everything keeps counting while the app is closed.

Bowls

  • Red feeder (Common, 300 BC): food only.
  • Blue waterer (Common, 300 BC): water only.
  • Black (Common, 300 BC), ceramic (Premium, 850 BC) and graphite (Deluxe, 1,450 BC) bowls: each serves food or water. You choose when filling the empty bowl, and that content stays until it is empty.
  • Double walnut bowl (Deluxe, 2,400 BC): food and water, each side independent. Counts as 1 food and 1 water bowl.
  • Food in a Common bowl: 4 portions, up to 2 pets, lasts about 8 h when full. Premium: 6 portions, up to 2 pets, about 12 h. Deluxe: 18 portions, up to 3 pets, about 24 h.
  • Water works the same in any bowl: 3 portions, no pet limit. It lasts 12 h with 1 pet and 4 h with 3 pets. Filling with water is free but manual.

Food and pet limits

  • Food bags: Common 180 BC, Premium 300 BC and Deluxe 450 BC. Each bag gives 2 full fills.
  • Each bowl only accepts food of its own tier. With no bag in the inventory, the bowl offers to buy the right food.
  • A food bowl serves only as many pets as its limit. With 3 pets and a bowl for 2, one of them, chosen at random, goes without food, and you see “You have food for 2 pets, but you have 3 pets in your Loft.”
  • Build Mode shows a warning when you have too few bowls for your pets.

Sickness, vet and death

  • After 8 hours with a bar at 0%, the pet gets sick.
  • A sick pet needs the vet within 24 hours. The visit, in the Pet center, costs 3,500 BixCoins and cures the pet.
  • If time runs out, the pet dies: it leaves the game permanently with no refund, even if it was bought with real money.
  • Rules, times and prices may change. See the pet care clause in the Terms of Use.

Notifications and common problems

  • You get notifications when a bowl reaches 20%, 15%, 10% and 0%, when a pet is hungry, when pets are about to get sick, when one gets sick and before the vet deadline ends. Notifications for several pets are grouped, at most 1 per type every 6 hours and never overnight.
  • Warnings also stay in the Pet center (paw button), along with each pet’s status and the vet.
  • Pet did not go to the bowl: check that the bowl has the right content and that its pet limit has not been reached.
  • Cannot fill: check that you have a food bag of the bowl’s tier in the inventory or buy one in the shop.
