How to adjust quality, cache and data usage
Balance media quality, speed and network usage.

How to
- Choose whether photos and videos should load automatically.
- Set video quality to low, medium, high or automatic.
- Enable the mobile data limit and choose whether the app may preload content.
- To free local space, use Data & Privacy › Management › Clear cache.
Rules and what happens next
- Higher quality and preloading may use more data and storage. Reducing them helps on limited connections, but images or videos may load with less detail or take longer to open.
- Clearing cache is in Data & Privacy > Data Management. It removes temporary device files; it does not delete account posts, ratings or lists.
Common problems
- Video is slow: check connection and quality and preloading preferences. Try another video to distinguish a problematic file from a general failure.
- High data usage: review options and the system’s mobile data controls. After clearing cache, the app may download opened files again.
