How to make your profile private
Choose whether new connections start immediately or require approval.

How to
- Open Profile Visibility.
- Choose Public to accept new stalkers immediately.
- Choose Private to review new requests before a person starts stalking you.
- This change does not block anyone or replace your comment and block rules.
Rules and what happens next
- A private account requires approval of new stalking requests before profile-protected access. Review current stalkers; changing the option is not an automatic individual review of existing followers.
- Lists and Tribes have their own controls. Check each content’s visibility and do not treat an image shared outside the app as an extension of profile privacy.
- Making the account private does not remove screenshots, external copies or messages others already received. For a specific record, use its editing or deletion controls.
Common problems
- Someone still follows my profile: check the stalker list and removal or blocking actions.
- List remains visible: open it and review its own visibility. If a setting does not stay saved, check connection and signed-in account.
