Join and use Tribes
Tribes are Lobbix+ communities with their own conversations and rules. Tribe visibility and joining policy determine what you can see and how to participate.
Where to find it: Avatar menu > Tribes > Discover; Explore > Tribes
How to
- Open Tribes from the avatar menu, or find one in Explore.
- In Discover, search for the topic and open the community. Read About, including its description and rules.
- Use Join for open joining or Request to join when approval is required. For Invite only, wait for an administration invitation.
- Once membership is active, use Post to create a Tribe post. Review the destination before publishing.
- Find communities in My tribes. To leave, open the Tribe, use the membership menu and confirm Leave.
Visibility and joining are different settings
- Public allows finding and reading the community under its access controls. Unlisted does not appear in general discovery; a link does not make a Tribe private. Private restricts content to authorized members.
- Open joining activates membership directly. Approval required keeps a request pending until administration decides. Invite only requires an invitation; search or a link does not replace it.
- Profile and Tribe privacy are separate controls. Do not publish participants’ personal data or move a private conversation elsewhere without permission.
- Joining does not require Gold. Community rules apply to owners, administrators and moderators too. Leaving does not automatically erase your previous posts.
If you cannot join or post
- Pending request: wait for administration; repeated requests do not speed approval. Invite-only Tribe: ask its administrators for an invitation.
- Empty private feed: check that membership is active and you are using the correct account. A link received before approval does not unlock content.
- Post in the wrong place: check the composer destination. Use your post’s controls to correct or remove it as offered.
- Abusive content: use Report on the post or Tribe menu and submit the reason. Local administration and platform moderation have different roles; reporting does not guarantee immediate removal.
