Manage Tribe members, requests and rules
Tribe roles distribute editing, approval and local moderation. Available controls depend on your role and active membership.
Where to find it: Tribe > menu > Edit; Tribe > Members or Requests
How to
- Open the Tribe with the account holding an administration role.
- Use Edit to review identity, rules, cover and access, and save changes.
- Open Requests when joining requires approval. Review each request and choose the offered action.
- In Members, find the person and open their menu for role or removal actions you are permitted to perform.
- To invite, use the invite action, select recipients and confirm sending.
What each role allows
- The owner keeps primary responsibility for the Tribe. Owners and administrators can manage settings and membership through offered controls.
- Moderators handle content and available moderation actions; they do not automatically have every administrator editing power. Members participate under the rules.
- The owner role cannot be assigned through the ordinary member role menu. Invitations and approval cannot bypass suspensions or platform rules.
- Tribe notification settings are in Settings > Notifications > Push notifications. Changing a notice does not remove membership.
When an action is missing
- Check your role in Members and whether membership is active. Do not use another account to bypass removal or a block.
- Empty Requests can mean there are no pending requests or the Tribe uses another joining policy. Check options in Edit.
- If a change fails, check current state before retrying. If a report requires platform action, submit it through Report instead of relying only on the local team.
