How Pings work

How to

1. Tap the Pings icon to open your activity center.
2. Tap a Ping to open its related post, profile, list, session or setting.
3. Similar Pings may be grouped to keep the screen organized.
4. When you open the area, displayed items are marked as read.

Rules and what happens next

• Pings gathers interactions and invitations; reading a Ping does not automatically accept collaboration or confirm a watched summary. Finish the action on the opened screen.
• Similar notices may be grouped. Marking read changes the center’s state without removing a comment, vote or invitation from its source.

Common problems

• Ping will not open: content may have been removed or access changed. Refresh and check the recipient account.
• No push but a Ping exists: check device permission and push category. The center and system notice have different controls.
